Some of the best photo booth moments happen at small parties: a 30-person engagement dinner, a bridal shower in a living room or a holiday lunch in a private dining room. Those are exactly the events where a full booth feels like too much.

LUNO Booth Studio is our compact answer: an elegant photo booth that runs on an iPad and prints classic strips and 4×6 photos in our signature looks. An iPad photo booth gives small events printed 2×6 strips and 4×6 photos in a styled template, with a much smaller footprint than a full booth, and guests can take digital copies home by QR code or email.

Quick answer: price, area and booking

Booth Studio is part of LUNO Labs, our digital event experiences, and is quoted per event based on hours and printing. For larger events, our full digital photo booth rental starts from $800+ for 3 hours with an attendant. LUNO serves Brampton, Mississauga, Vaughan, Toronto and the areas we serve across the GTA.

    1. How Booth Studio works

Guests tap to begin and move through three quick steps: choose a format, choose a layout and choose a look. Then the camera counts them in, they review their photos and either keep them or retake all. The finished print appears on screen, ready to print and to take home digitally.

It takes about a minute per group, and the steps are simple enough for grandparents and kids alike. Hosts can also limit the choices, for example offering only strips in the Champagne look, so the whole night's prints match your décor. Fewer choices also means a faster line when the party is at its busiest.

    2. Formats: strips and 4×6 prints

    Format Layouts Best for
Classic 4×6 One portrait or a trio Couples, small groups, framing
Photo strip 2×6 Three or four photos Friends, silly poses, the fridge

Strips print two to a sheet and are cut cleanly, so every guest in a pair gets their own copy.

    3. Four signature looks, plus black and white

Booth Studio's templates are designed in our studio, not picked from a generic library:

    • Champagne: warm gold and ivory, our most-booked wedding look
    • Noir: dramatic black and gold for galas and evening parties
    • Holiday: festive and cosy for December events
    • Blush Wedding: soft pinks for showers and spring weddings
    • LUNO Glam: a black-and-white option that flatters everyone

Every print carries your event name and date, so a strip on someone's fridge a year later still says exactly where it came from.

Black and white is the safe choice when your venue lighting is mixed, because it flatters every skin tone and hides colour casts from uplighting.

    4. When an iPad booth beats a full booth

An iPad booth is the right call when the room is small, the guest list is under about 60, or the event is short. It needs a fraction of the floor space, sets up quickly and keeps the vibe intimate.

A full booth is still better for big weddings, corporate events and anywhere you want studio lighting, props, an attendant and a fast-moving line. Our guide to what's included in a photo booth rental explains the full-booth experience.

    5. Privacy built in

Photos stay on the device during the event and are kept privately, so guests decide what they take home by QR code or email. That's reassuring at family events and office parties alike.

    6. Space and setup

    • A small table or stand for the iPad
    • A power outlet for the printer
    • Even light on guests' faces
    • A simple backdrop, wall or flower wall behind
    • Room for a group of four to stand

A plain wall in good light works. If you want something more special, add a backdrop or flower wall.

    7. Pairing it with other experiences

Booth Studio prints keepsakes; our other digital experiences add to the night. Pair it with a QR code photo booth so guests at every table can join in, or a memory book so each print comes with a note.

Example: a bridal shower in a Brampton home

Say you're hosting 35 guests in a Brampton living room with no space for a full booth. Booth Studio sits on a stand against a blush flower wall, set to the Blush Wedding look with the bride's name and date. Guests print strips all afternoon, stick a copy in the shower guest book, and take the digital version home to post.

    Frequently asked questions

What print sizes does an iPad photo booth make?

LUNO Booth Studio makes classic 4×6 prints with one portrait or a trio of photos, and 2×6 photo strips with three or four photos, printed two to a sheet and cut cleanly.

Is an iPad photo booth as good as a full photo booth?

For small rooms and intimate events, yes. For large weddings and corporate events, a full booth with studio lighting and an attendant still gives the best photos and keeps the line moving.

Can guests get a digital copy of their photos?

Yes. Guests take their photos home by QR code or email, as well as the print.
