360 Booth Ideas for Weddings: From Grand Entrance to Last Dance

A 360 booth at a wedding can be a sideshow or a centrepiece, depending on how you plan it. When it's tucked in a corner and opened without fanfare, guests wander over occasionally. When it's placed beside the dance floor, launched by the couple and fed with a few planned moves, it becomes one of the most talked-about parts of the night, and the clips keep getting shared long after the last song.
If you're booking a 360 booth for your wedding and want it to be the centre of the party rather than a sideshow, here are ideas for when to open it, moves for the couple and wedding party, overlays, props and lighting. For a memorable wedding 360 booth, place it beside the dance floor, open it with a clip of the couple, brief the wedding party on a few moves, match the overlay to your wedding and keep props light and on-theme.
1. Placement: beside the dance floor
The best spot for a 360 booth at a wedding is beside the dance floor, where the music's energy carries straight onto the platform. Avoid corners far from the action, spots in front of the head table and anywhere the line would block service paths.
Measure the space with your venue coordinator. A 360 needs a clear circle for the arm plus a buffer and a queue area. See how much space a 360 booth needs.
If your reception is in a smaller venue, such as a restaurant or loft, talk to the booth company about a slightly smaller footprint or a spot just off the dance floor. The goal is to keep the booth within sight of the music without pushing tables back.
2. Launch it with the couple
Open the booth with the newlyweds. Right after the first dance or the grand entrance, the couple steps onto the platform for a slow twirl, a dip or a kiss. The DJ announces the booth, and the line forms immediately.
It's a simple trick, but it changes how guests see the booth: not as a side activity, but as part of the celebration.
3. Moves for the couple
- The dip. One partner dips the other as the camera comes around.
- The slow twirl. The bride or groom spins slowly; gowns, lehengas and sherwanis look incredible in slow motion.
- The forehead kiss. Quiet and lovely, especially with a soft overlay.
- The ring reveal. Both hold up their hands to the camera at the front of the spin.
Practise once at your venue walkthrough or rehearsal so it feels natural.
4. Moves for the wedding party
Your bridesmaids, groomsmen and dance crew are the booth's best advertisement. Brief them on two or three group moves before the wedding:
- A wave or arm ripple as the camera passes
- A freeze-frame pose on a count of three
- A short section of the choreography from your entrance
- A synchronized step from a song you'll play that night
Our 360 booth poses guide has 15 more.
5. Overlays that match your wedding
Your 360 overlay appears on every clip, so make it part of your wedding design: your names, date and monogram in your wedding colours. Keep it simple and around the edges, because the video moves. An end frame with your names and a thank-you message is a lovely finishing touch.
6. Props for wedding clips
Props that move look best in slow motion. For weddings, consider:
- Light confetti or petal toss (check your venue's cleanup rules)
- Fans and streamers in your colours
- Signs: "Just Married", "Team Bride", "Team Groom"
- Sunglasses and veils for the late-night crowd
Keep props short and light so nothing reaches the arm.
7. Lighting and the full circle
A 360 clip shows the whole room as the camera circles. Make sure the background looks good from every angle: uplighting, the dance floor or your décor, rather than stacked chairs or service doors. If your hall switches to coloured dance lighting, ask the booth company to adjust their lights so skin tones and white gowns stay true.
8. Timing and keepsakes
Run the 360 through the first two or three hours of dancing, when energy peaks. Ask for a gallery of every clip after the wedding; many couples share a highlight compilation with family who couldn't attend. If you also want prints, add a digital or mirror booth, or an audio guest book. See our full wedding photo booth guide for GTA couples.
Example: launching the 360 right after the first dance
Say your first dance ends at 9:15 p.m. As the song finishes, the DJ invites you both to the 360 booth beside the dance floor. You do a slow twirl and a dip while your wedding party cheers, then the DJ announces that the booth is open. Your bridal party goes next with their rehearsed wave. Within minutes, there's a line of guests who've just watched how it works. That's how a 360 becomes the centre of the party.

Frequently asked questions
Should the couple use the 360 booth first?
It's a great way to open the booth. A clip of the couple right after the first dance or the grand entrance often becomes one of the most-shared videos of the night, and it draws guests to the line.
Can the 360 booth be used during the cocktail hour?
Yes, if the cocktail area has space and power. Many couples prefer to save the 360 for the dance floor, when energy is highest, and use a print booth during cocktails.
Will the 360 booth distract from the dance floor?
A well-placed booth beside the dance floor adds to the energy rather than pulling people away. The attendant keeps groups moving so guests are back dancing quickly.
