Bouncy Castle Rental in Vaughan: Maple, Woodbridge and Vellore Backyard Parties
The LUNO Events Team
Published · Updated · 5 min read
Vaughan's family neighbourhoods are made for backyard parties. Maple, Vellore and Sonoma Heights have newer homes with fenced yards; Woodbridge has established streets and big family gatherings; Kleinburg and the north have larger properties. Summer birthdays, communion parties and family reunions across the city often include a bouncy castle, and the cousins usually find it before the adults have found their seats.
If you're planning a backyard party in Maple, Woodbridge, Vellore or anywhere in Vaughan, here's what to know about matching the castle to your yard, interlock and landscaping, power and weather. To rent a bouncy castle in Vaughan, measure the yard and side access, choose grass over interlock where possible, confirm a dedicated outlet, plan for heat and storms and book early for summer weekends and communion season.
1. Backyards across Vaughan
| Area | Typical yard | What to watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Maple, Vellore, Sonoma Heights | Newer fenced yards, often landscaped | Interlock, decks and limited grass |
| Woodbridge | Established yards, family gatherings | Gardens, pools and patios |
| Kleinburg and north Vaughan | Larger properties | Slopes and longer carries from the driveway |
| Thornhill (Vaughan side) | Mix of lot sizes | Measure carefully |
LUNO's castles range from the compact Adventure Plumber Castle (265 x 300 cm) to the Monster Castle (305 x 340 cm) and the long Whimsical Castle (396 x 244 cm).
When you measure, include the space in front of the castle's entrance. Kids line up there, take off their shoes and climb in and out, and that area gets crowded quickly. A clear patch of lawn or patio in front of the entrance, with a spot for a shoe pile, keeps things orderly and keeps excited kids away from the blower.
2. Interlock, decks and landscaping
Many Vaughan backyards are heavily landscaped, with interlock patios, raised decks, gardens and sometimes pools. A castle on interlock is possible with sandbags and mats, but grass is softer and safer. Keep the castle well away from pools, raised decks and garden edges, and check that the surface is level.
3. Pools and safety
If your yard has a pool, place the castle as far away as possible, make sure the pool area is fenced or closed off during the party and assign an adult to watch both. Excited kids move fast between activities.
Plan the rest of the party around the castle too. Place food tables and seating where parents can watch the castle while they eat and chat, and keep the barbecue well away from the bouncing area. A clear sightline from the adults' seating to the castle makes supervision far easier.
4. Access and parking
Check the route from the street to the backyard: side gate width, steps and slopes. On busy party days, Vaughan streets fill with guests' cars, so save space on the driveway for the delivery vehicle.
5. Power
The blower needs a grounded outdoor outlet within reach, ideally on its own circuit. If you're also running a popcorn or cotton candy machine, a cooler or a sound system, spread them across different outlets to avoid tripping a breaker.
If your yard has a sprinkler system, mark the sprinkler heads before the delivery team arrives and turn the system off for the day. Stakes can damage hidden lines, and a sprinkler going off under the castle mid-party is a soggy surprise.
6. Communion season and family parties
Spring and early summer bring first communion and confirmation parties across Woodbridge and Vaughan, often with many young cousins. A castle keeps the little ones busy while adults enjoy the meal. Book early, as these weekends fill alongside birthday season. For the adults, a photo booth for family celebrations is a popular addition.
7. Weather and supervision
Vaughan summers can be hot and humid with afternoon thunderstorms. Shade the castle if possible, give kids water breaks and take the castle down if storms or strong winds arrive. An adult should supervise at all times. See our bouncy castle safety checklist.
Give the delivery team a contact number for the day and make sure someone is home at the agreed delivery time to show them the spot and the outlet.
8. Booking
Summer Saturdays and communion weekends book first. Reach out a few weeks ahead, more for peak dates. LUNO's castles are listed at $200 for a full day ($250 for the larger Whimsical Castle), with delivery and setup included.
Afterwards, the delivery team deflates, rolls and removes the castle. Make sure the area is clear of toys, chairs and decorations before takedown time, so they can pack up quickly and safely, and check the lawn for any stakes or debris once they're gone.
Example: a landscaped Vellore yard with a pool
Say your Vellore backyard has an interlock patio, a small lawn and a pool. The castle goes on the lawn, as far from the pool as possible, with the pool gate locked for the party. If the lawn is too small, the castle can go on the interlock with sandbags and mats. Assign one adult to watch the castle and another to watch the pool area. The castle is $200 for a full day, with delivery and setup included.
