LUNO Live Booth

Your setup guide

Everything you need to run the photo booth yourself. It takes about five minutes on the day. Your event code, operator PIN and links are in your booking email.

Before the event

A week to a day before

  1. Check your template. Sign in to the operator console with your event code and PIN, open Template, and check the event name, date, colours and logo. Change anything you like and press Save template, or reply to your booking email and we'll do it.
  2. Choose the print styles guests can pick (portrait, trio, strip, story), and whether shared photos appear straight away or wait for your approval.
  3. Print your QR signs. In the console, Go live → Print QR signs. Page 1 is a poster, page 2 cuts into four table cards. Add the venue Wi-Fi if reception is weak.
  4. Do a test the day before. Photos open the day before your event. Scan your QR sign with your phone and take a photo (with the live screen, have the Live screen link open on the laptop you'll use). You can hide test photos afterwards in Photos.

Want guests to join before they arrive? Put the guest link (the short /j/ link) in your invitation, slideshow or group chat.

On the day

Setting up

  1. Set out the QR signs on tables, by the bar and at the entrance. Without the live screen, that's all the setup there is.
  2. Live screen add-on: connect a laptop to the TV or projector with HDMI and keep it plugged into power. Turn off sleep and screen savers for the evening.
  3. Open the Live screen link in Chrome or Edge, then press Full screen in the bottom corner. The screen shows the QR code on one side and photos on the other. A smart TV's own browser works too.
  4. Using a second screen or an iPad kiosk? Open the same Live screen link, or the Kiosk link, on each one. Each one uses one of your device slots; you can see them under Devices.
  5. Keep the console open on your phone to watch photos come in. Tap Hide on any photo to take it out of the gallery (and off the screen) straight away.

After the event

Sharing the photos

  1. Download everything. In Photos, press Download all to save a zip of every photo that isn't hidden.
  2. Send guests the gallery link (in your booking email and on the console's Go live tab). It stays open for 30 days, or 90 with the add-on.
  3. Need photos removed? Email us and we'll delete the event's photos.

Troubleshooting

"All screens for this event are in use"
Every device slot is taken. In the console, open Devices, release the one you're replacing, then press Try again. Need another screen? It's $10: reply to your booking email.
A guest's camera won't open
They'll see Take a photo instead, which opens their phone's camera app and works the same way. In-app browsers (Instagram, Facebook) sometimes block the camera; opening the link in Safari or Chrome fixes it.
"This event doesn't include the live screen"
Your plan runs on guests' phones and the gallery. To put photos on a TV, add the live screen ($50) by replying to your booking email.
Photos aren't appearing on the screen
Check the laptop's internet connection. If you turned on approval, photos wait in Photos until you approve them. The screen checks for new photos every few seconds.
"The photo booth opens on…"
Photos are taken from the day before your event until the end of the event. If your date changed, email us and we'll move it.
Forgot the PIN?
It's in your booking email. Otherwise email lunoeventsservices@gmail.com or DM @lunoevents.
