Photo Booth Rental in Brampton: What to Ask Before You Book
The LUNO Events Team
Published · Updated · 5 min read
Brampton is one of the busiest places in the GTA for celebrations. Weddings, anniversaries, first birthdays and Diwali parties fill banquet halls in the east end, community centres across the city and backyards from Heart Lake to Credit Valley nearly every weekend. With that much demand, there are plenty of photo booth companies to choose from, and plenty of ways for a booking to go sideways if you don't ask the right questions.
If you're booking a photo booth in Brampton, here are the questions that matter most: your type of venue, travel and timing, the families and guest lists typical of events here and the templates that suit them. Before you book a photo booth in Brampton, confirm the company knows your type of venue, includes an attendant and setup, can design bilingual templates and has your date free in Brampton's busy wedding and festival seasons.
1. "Have you worked at my type of venue?"
Brampton events happen in very different spaces, and each has its own quirks:
| Venue type | What to ask about |
|---|---|
| Banquet hall (east end, around Airport Road, Steeles Avenue and Highway 50) | Load-in window, other events that night, outlet near the dance floor |
| Community centre (Cassie Campbell, Gore Meadows and others) | Rental rules, setup time, whether outside vendors are allowed |
| Home or backyard | Floor space, power, weather backup, parking for the van |
| Restaurant private room | Ceiling height, how close the booth sits to diners |
A company that has worked in similar spaces will plan setup without needing much from you. If they haven't, they should ask detailed questions. For a full venue checklist, read what to check at a Brampton banquet hall.
2. "Is travel included, and when will you arrive?"
Brampton is big, and traffic on Highway 410, Queen Street and Bovaird Drive can add real time on a Saturday afternoon. Ask:
- Is travel to my address or venue included?
- What time will the team arrive, and how long is setup?
- Who should they call if the venue door is locked or the coordinator isn't there?
- Where can the van park while unloading?
For house parties in neighbourhoods with tight street parking, like parts of Mount Pleasant and Fletcher's Meadow, let the company know about parking ahead of time.
3. "How will the booth handle a big family crowd?"
Brampton celebrations often bring together several generations. That changes what you want from a booth:
- Prints for elders. Grandparents may prefer a printed photo to a QR code.
- Large group shots. Ask how many people fit in the frame and whether the backdrop is wide enough.
- A patient attendant. Someone who can coach kids, help aunties with props and keep cousins from taking over the booth all night.
Ask how the company manages a long line after dinner, when everyone heads to the booth at once.
4. "Can you design a template in our language and style?"
Bilingual templates are a lovely touch at Brampton weddings, anniversaries and religious festivals. Ask whether the company can set text in Punjabi (Gurmukhi), Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil or another script, and how they'll make sure it's spelled correctly. Typed text from you is always better than a screenshot. Our overlay guide covers design tips that apply to any language.
5. "Which booth suits my event?"
Not every Brampton event needs the same booth:
- Digital booth: Compact, prints and sharing, ideal for birthdays, anniversaries and house parties.
- Mirror booth: Elegant, full-length, popular at receptions.
- 360 booth: High-energy video, perfect for sangeets, receptions and sweet sixteens with room on the floor.
If you're leaning toward video, read our guide to 360 photo booth rental in Brampton, which covers space and setup in detail.
6. "Is my date still open?"
Brampton's busiest periods overlap: wedding season from spring to fall, Diwali and holiday parties later in the year and graduation parties in June. Popular Saturdays fill early. If your date is fixed, inquire as soon as your venue is confirmed and ask the company to hold it while you decide.
7. "What exactly is in the package?"
Ask for a written, line-by-line quote: booth type, hours, attendant, template, backdrop, props, prints, digital sharing, gallery and any travel. Compare it with other quotes on the same lines rather than the total. LUNO quotes each booking for your booth, hours and location; the Standard, Premium and Luxury packages are listed with what each includes.
Example: a 1st birthday at a Brampton community centre
Say you've booked a community centre room in Brampton for your daughter's first birthday, with 90 guests from both families. Check the room rental agreement for vendor setup times and send it to the booth company. Choose a digital booth with prints for the grandparents and a template with her name and "One" in your party colours. Open the booth right after lunch, while she's still happy, and ask the attendant to call up each family branch for a group photo.
When to bring in a booth company
If you have your date, venue and an idea of your guest list, you're ready to ask for a quote. Send the venue name and the room you've booked so the company can plan the setup properly.

Frequently asked questions
Do Brampton photo booth companies charge travel fees within the city?
Most local companies include travel within Brampton. LUNO is based in Brampton, so events across the city, from Springdale to Credit Valley, are local for us; travel fees only apply beyond the GTA.
Can I have a photo booth at a Brampton community centre?
Often, yes, but community centre rentals have their own rules on setup times, power and outside vendors. Check your rental agreement with the City of Brampton and share it with your booth company so setup fits the centre's rules.
Can the photo booth template be in Punjabi, Hindi, Gujarati or Tamil?
Yes. Send the exact text typed out, and have a family member proofread the design before it's approved. Bilingual templates are popular at Brampton weddings and family celebrations.
