Brampton Wedding Photo Booth Guide
The LUNO Events Team

A Brampton wedding is rarely a single event. For many families, it's a week or more of celebrations: a roka or engagement, a mehndi at home, a sangeet with choreographed performances, the ceremony itself and a reception for several hundred guests at a banquet hall. Other couples here plan a church wedding with a hall reception, a Caribbean or Filipino celebration that runs late into the night or a smaller civil ceremony followed by dinner. Every format needs a different approach to the photo booth.
If your Brampton wedding spans several events, from a mehndi at home to a reception for hundreds, here's how to decide which events get a booth, which booth fits each one and how to plan templates, keepsakes and timing. For a Brampton wedding, put the photo booth at your biggest party, usually the reception or sangeet, choose a booth that suits that room and crowd, and plan a matching template and guest book.
1. Map your events first
List every event, its venue, guest count and vibe. Then decide where a booth adds the most.
| Event | Typical setting | Booth fit |
|---|---|---|
| Engagement or roka | Home or small hall | Digital booth, short window |
| Mehndi | Home, backyard or small hall | Digital or mirror booth with prints |
| Sangeet | Banquet hall or large venue | 360 booth for dance energy |
| Ceremony | Place of worship, hall or outdoors | Usually no booth |
| Reception | Banquet hall | Digital or mirror booth, 360 if space allows |
If you can only book one, choose the event with the most guests and the most free time to enjoy it. For mehndi and sangeet specifics, see our sangeet and mehndi photo booth guide.
2. Choose the booth for the room
- Digital booth: Fits almost anywhere and prints quickly. Great for family-heavy receptions where elders want a print.
- Mirror booth: A full-length, elegant option that suits formal receptions.
- 360 booth: Best when outfits and dancing are the focus and the hall has floor space beside the dance floor.
Many Brampton couples pair a digital booth at the reception with a 360 at the sangeet, so each event gets a different keepsake.
3. Design a template that feels like your wedding
Your template appears on every print and shared photo. Ideas that work well for Brampton weddings:
- Your names in English and in Gurmukhi, Devanagari, Gujarati or Tamil script
- A monogram or motif from your invitation
- The event name for each day ("Mehndi", "Sangeet", "Reception")
- Colours pulled from your outfits or décor
Send all text typed, and ask a family member to proofread. A wrong letter in a name is hard to fix once 300 prints have gone out.
4. Add a guest book your family will keep
A photo guest book is a natural fit for big family weddings. Guests print a second copy, stick it in an album and write a blessing or message beside it. Place it on a table next to the booth with pens and a sign, and ask a cousin or the attendant to remind people. An audio guest book, where guests leave a voice message on a vintage phone, is another favourite, especially for capturing messages from grandparents.
5. Coordinate with your hall and photographer
Share the booth details with your banquet hall early: load-in time, insurance and the spot on the floor plan. Our banquet hall checklist covers what to ask. Tell your photographer and videographer where the booth will be so its lights don't clash with their angles on the dance floor.
6. Plan the timing around your programme
Brampton receptions are often packed: grand entrance, dinner, speeches, family performances, cake cutting and dancing. Open the booth after dinner, pause it during performances if your booth company allows and keep it running into the first hours of dancing, when the line is longest.
7. Think about elders and kids
Make it easy for everyone:
- Keep a chair near the booth for grandparents
- Have props that are easy to hold and not too heavy
- Ask the attendant to call up family groups so three generations end up in one frame
- For kids, a short window early in the evening avoids a late-night queue of cousins
Example: one booth budget across a wedding week
Say you have budget for one booth booking, but your wedding week includes a mehndi at home, a sangeet at a hall and a reception at another hall. Look at where most guests will be free and dancing. If your sangeet has the biggest dance crowd, put the 360 there. If your reception has more elders, a print booth there may serve more guests. Ask the booth company for a quote on both options, and whether adding a short booking at the second event changes the total much.
When to bring in a booth company
Once your venues and dates are set, book all your booth events together. That way you can plan matching templates across the week and lock in your dates during wedding season.

Frequently asked questions
Which wedding event should get the photo booth if I can only afford one?
Usually the reception, because it has the most guests and the longest stretch of dancing. If your sangeet is the bigger party for your crowd, put the booth there instead.
Can we book a photo booth for several wedding events?
Yes. Booking the same company for multiple events keeps templates consistent and often simplifies planning. Ask whether multi-event bookings are priced differently; LUNO quotes multi-event bookings together, so ask for all your dates in one request.
Can the photo booth be at a religious ceremony?
That depends on the place of worship and your family. Many couples keep the booth for receptions and parties rather than ceremonies. Ask the venue directly before planning a booth there.
