Bridal Shower Photo Booth Ideas: Brunches, Teas and Bachelorette Nights

Bridal showers in the GTA come in many styles. There's the classic afternoon shower in a banquet hall room, a brunch at a Toronto restaurant, a garden tea in a Vaughan backyard, a henna-and-dholki evening in Brampton and the bachelorette night that follows. Each has a different mood, but they share a guest list of the bride's closest friends and family and a love of photos.
If you're the maid of honour or a family member hosting a bridal shower, brunch or bachelorette anywhere in the GTA, here's how to choose and plan the photo booth. For a bridal shower photo booth, choose a compact booth for brunches and teas or a 360 for bachelorette nights, use a floral or shimmer backdrop, design a template that previews the wedding and add a guest book of advice for the bride.
1. Match the booth to the style
| Style | Recommended booth |
|---|---|
| Brunch or tea | Digital or mirror booth with prints |
| Banquet hall shower | Mirror booth or digital booth |
| Garden shower | Digital booth under cover |
| Bachelorette night | 360 booth |
For daytime showers, prints are popular because guests like taking a keepsake home. For bachelorette nights, short videos made for social media are the priority.
Guest count matters too. A brunch for twenty friends needs only a couple of hours and a compact booth; a banquet hall shower for a hundred relatives may need longer hours or a second booth so the line doesn't take over the afternoon.
2. Backdrops that suit a shower
Floral walls are a classic for bridal showers, and they photograph beautifully. Other options include shimmer walls in blush or gold, balloon garlands in the wedding colours and printed backdrops with the bride's name. For a henna or dholki evening, marigold garlands and bright drapes fit the mood.
Match the backdrop to the shower's colour palette, not necessarily the wedding's, especially if the shower has its own theme.
Ask the venue early about confetti and glitter, which many restaurants ban.
3. Props that make guests laugh
- "Bride-to-Be" sashes and tiaras
- "Team Bride", "Maid of Honour" and "Mother of the Bride" signs
- Oversized diamond rings and champagne glass props
- Signs with the couple's story ("They met at Square One!")
- Veils and flower crowns
For bachelorettes, add sunglasses, boas and party signs. Keep it fun but tasteful if relatives are attending the shower.
4. A template that previews the wedding
Use the bride's name, "Bridal Shower" and the date, in fonts and colours borrowed from the wedding invitation. It ties the shower to the wedding and gives guests a first look at the wedding style. For bachelorettes, a playful template with a nickname or inside joke works well.
Keep the bride's comfort in mind. She'll be pulled in many directions during the shower, so ask the attendant to catch her during natural breaks, such as after gifts are opened, rather than interrupting games or conversations.
5. A guest book of advice
A photo guest book makes a lovely shower keepsake: each guest adds a print and writes advice or wishes for the couple. Some brides display it at the wedding. An audio guest book lets grandmothers and aunties record blessings and stories in their own words. See audio guest book vs photo guest book.
Add a prompt to the sign, such as "Your best marriage advice" or "Your wish for the couple", so guests write more than "Congratulations!"
6. Timing around games and gifts
Showers usually include arrivals, food, games and gift opening. Open the booth after the main meal or once games are finished, and let it run for about two hours. Ask the attendant to bring the bride up early, with her bridesmaids, mother and future mother-in-law, before the rush.
7. Restaurant and home showers
Restaurant private rooms in Toronto and Mississauga are often tight, so measure the space and confirm with the restaurant where the booth can go. For home and backyard showers, find a level spot near a grounded outlet, plan shade for afternoon sun and have a rain backup.
8. Planning the whole wedding season
If you're the maid of honour or the bride's family, consider booking the booth for the shower and the wedding together. You'll get a consistent look across events and secure the wedding date early. Our wedding photo booth guide for GTA couples covers the wedding itself.
After the shower, share the gallery link with every guest along with the bride's thank-you note. It's a simple way to extend the celebration and lets out-of-town relatives see the photos too.
Example: a Sunday brunch shower in Toronto
Say you're hosting a Sunday brunch shower for 30 guests in a restaurant's private room in Leslieville. Book a compact digital booth for two hours, starting after the meal. Use a blush floral backdrop that matches the table flowers and a template with the bride's name and "Bridal Brunch". Set out a photo guest book with the prompt "Your best marriage advice". Ask the restaurant whether confetti is allowed; if not, use petal props instead.
When to bring in a booth company
Book once your date and venue are set, ideally a month or two before the shower. Spring and summer weekends fill quickly.

Frequently asked questions
Which photo booth suits a bridal shower brunch?
A compact digital or mirror booth with prints suits most brunches and teas. It fits restaurant rooms and homes and gives guests a keepsake.
Can the bridal shower template match the wedding?
Yes. Using the same fonts and colours as the wedding invitation creates a consistent look from shower to reception.
Is a 360 booth good for a bachelorette party?
Yes. A bachelorette crowd usually loves a 360 booth, especially at a party room or rented event space with music.
